HANOI AND 12 BLOSSOM SEASONS - P2
You are reading my sharing about Hanoi and 12 blossom seasons whose content is deeply from my experience for many years living in Hanoi. If you interest in, Part 1 of its will be better to enjoy :)
The signatures of July
Called as the signatures of July in Hanoi; however, I cannot create two new rich poetic words in place of Dracontomelon and Khaya senegalensis. They gently come after the period of time of shedding their leaves off. Only when you realize that, they are already full bloom in several streets with an aroma of difference which is hardly merged into others in Hanoi.
Walking on streets in Hanoi at that time, you somehow feel the identities in their subtly fragile presences. That makes them different.
Getting back to childhood
It is believed that August is the time to remember and regret for one’s childhood. After rains, a species of flower being white and tiny, blankets in diverse streets in Hanoi. However; no one has revealed why it closely attaches to childhood. Only one thing I know that the image of Allospondias Lakonensis deeply got closed at my first few halting steps.
The message of autumn
In September, milk flowers are in bloom being the herald of autumn. Then one day, my heart would be free on streets in Hanoi, I suddenly glanced up and wondered that when Milk Flowers covered streets up with beautiful cloaks of white blossoms. It is the way autumn comes to me. The scent of that flower is gentle and passionate about. A tinge of the beautifully sweet fragrance of Milk flowers is enough to remind about the arrival of autumn.
Daisy comes
The daisy belongs to the fall – the season of invisible sadness. That flower also marks the sign of an upcoming winter. Daisy persistently can be kept fresh for two weeks in October when Lotus faded away. An infinite sadness emerges whenever you look at its graceful external.
November and Forget-me-nots
Filling up bicycle baskets with blue blooms with yellow centers, forget-me-nots are carried around streets on cold winter days. In contrast to the small blossom's delicate appearance, that flower has a strong life. Forget-me-not flowers are charmingly alive about two weeks before the cold winds of winter leave the deserted streets.
December and yellow mustard blossoms
Hanoi has various flowers in cold winter days; however, my sharing must be ended with mustard flowers as the flower of December. At the end of November, mustard flowers carpet an entire corner of gardens with their yellow. They lightly sway in the wind, on hair and in the hands of brides.
