It is appropriately the most popular vehicle to Halong Bay. You can choose to hire private cars or use shuttle-bus service normally included in Halong Bay tour package. For more convenience, shuttle bus/car is included in tour price!

TRAIN

Travelling to Halong by train

Train is another method to go to Halong Bay. The first train departs at 7:05 Am (Gia Lam train station) and arrive Halong Bay at 12:00 Am. On the way back, it departs at 3:00pm to get back Hanoi at 8:05pm. As reviewed, this train schedule is inconvenient and takes much longer than shuttle bus.

HELICOPTER

Helicopter is only available at some Cruise companies for special requests. Especially, this unique method of transportation has newly launched recently with the biggest deal. Pick-up place is usually within Hanoi Old Quarter because almost tourists prefer staying there to others. Cruise Company will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. Others do not, they will ask you to be at a certain place or their office… Please check it in advance!

Noi Bai International Airport

Getting directly to Halong Bay from Noi Bai Airport, it is available with 3.5 hours on car because of shuttle bus shortage at the Airport. Hiring a private car has a reasonable price. Do not worry! Remember! The check-in time of Halong Bay cruise is sometimes 12:00, you should arrange your flight time to fit this schedule.
